Heres a link to the Woodchat Google+ page . Telephone Game Design Experiment Right now in Woodchat were going through a design experiment we call the Telephone Game Design Experiment. You know what the Telephone Game is, right? One person starts by whispering a phrase into the next persons ear and that person whispers what they heard to the next person and this continues down the line. By the time the phrase passes through all the players, it is totally different. Wouldnt it be fun to try something like that with furniture design? We are. Heres how it works The idea is for somebody else to take this concept and reinterpret it their own way. You dont need to use a CAD program. All that matters is that you are able to convey your ideas a good photograph of a pencil sketch or clay model would also be fine. Design experience or savvy is not required. One person at a time is given one week to reinterpret the piece and their vision is sharedand discussed at the next #Woodchat (Wednesdays at 7pm Pacific).

‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’: The Reviews Are In!

Revamps are always tricky beasts, pitted with the thankless tasks of dually bringing in new viewers, while pandering to the past. And when unsuccessful, even partially as is Luessenhops, the story sees a fate not unlike the scattered limbs littering Leatherfaces done-to-death chop-shop floor. An audience of the uninitiated may revel in Chainsaws new psychological twists and 3D technology, but steadfast saw stalkers will find this pass has run out of gas. What this disc has got going for it is a slew of special features that autopsy the franchise well; both past and present, from three enviable commentaries that neatly sew up the segmented franchise into a full face, to a cellar full of featurettes. The Texas Chainsaw Legacy featurette touches on topics such as the effects of the original film on cinema in the 70s, the effect it had on the actors involved both past and present and what this recent revamp means for the franchise. In kind, the featurettes Resurrecting The Saw and Casting Terror equally parrot those same themes, with interviews from the cast and crew. For the production process conscious, a generous amount of attention is paid to the films set and special effects in the Old Homestead, Leatherface 2013, Lights, Camera, Mayhem, and Its in the Meat featurettes, exploring the creation and implementation of the films gory special effects, its attention to detail in the recreation of the Sawyer family farmhouse, while aptly supplying nods to both Dan Yeager the actor who portrays Leatherface in this latest revolution and the 3D technology utilized throughout. And though none of the featurettes top the clock at over fifteen minutes for each segment, eager fans who cant get enough of Chainsaws gruesome stuff should be bursting at the seams. So though this attempt sees a familiar face, its makeup is woefully out of place, as Texas Chainsaw relents most of its well-known hook. Studio Synopsis: Texas Chainsaw continues the legendary story of the homicidal Sawyer family, picking up where Tobe Hoopers 1974 horror classic left off. In Newt, Texas, people have been going missing without a trace for decades.

dvd texas chainsaw geek 300x358 Blu ray+3D review: Texas Chainsaw trades slash for suspense

The two pop up here and there in various episodes until the Cowboy and Sally inevitably meet up in the finale. The acting throughout the season is generally better than what you’d expect in an ultra low-budget affair. Part of this stems from Jimmyo seeming to be writing to his actors’ strengths. April Monique Burril is the obvious stand out, as she should be, but Azmon Toy made a character I originally despised somewhat bearable, so I have to give him high credit as well. The blood and guts in The Chainsaw Sally Show: Season One is plentiful and wisely done. Chainsaw Sally uses a variety of tools to dispatch her victims from a hammer to, you guessed it, a chainsaw and everything in between. The filmmakers expertly film what they know will look good on camera and imply what can’t. You can tell this was a fun set to be on as everything, including the killings, seems so very tongue-in-cheek. This is made most evident when Sally takes a spine she had just ripped out from a victim and holds it to the sky a la Predator. Good times. At the end of the day, The Chainsaw Sally Show: Season One is, like its film predecessor, just a bunch of goofy fun.

The Chainsaw Sally Show: Season One

But at night, Sally turns into a chainsaw-wielding vixen, quick to permanently quiet those who have wronged her, or her library. When Sally finds out the new stranger in town, Steve (Mark Redfield Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde ), owns the property where she and her brother are living, she gets a little concerned. Things even get more complicated when she finds out Steve’s been offered a large sum of money for the place she calls home. Review: In 2003, at the local horror convention, HorrorFind , I saw this hot little number walking around. She was wearing a feather boa, a tight shirt that was more cleavage than cloth, shorty short shorts and a combination of striped socks and torn stockings covering her legs. She was hot to trot, and I first thought she was just a random fan of horror. Oh, no. She was promoting her upcoming movie, Chainsaw Sally. I was sold.

Sullivan (@KPSull) While a film called ” Texas Chainsaw 3D ” was never going to be up for any Academy Awards, what you get out the of the new sequel to Leatherface’s original “Massacre” depends on what frame of mind you go into it with. Critics are split on how well the three-dimensional slaughter fest plays, even with the right expectations. Some appreciated the twist near the end, but others were simply unimpressed. Read on to find out what the critics are saying about “Texas Chainsaw 3D.” The Story “Heather (Alexandra Daddario) finds out that she’s not only adopted, but the sole heir to an estate in small-town Texas, so she rounds up her boyfriend (rapper Trey Songz) and two of their pals (Tania Raymonde, Keram Malicki-SAnchez) to make a road trip and sign all the necessary papers. The place turns out to be a grand old house, quite isolated and ideal for smoking, drinking, screwing, listening to Trey Songz songs, occupied only by a certain hulking maniac way down in the basement.” William Goss, Alexandra Daddario “Truth be told, I enjoyed taking the ride along with the lovely Ms. Daddario who is a perfectly satisfying scream queen. She makes a fun little transition as the film progresses, which is enjoyable to watch, even if it is beyond any honest to goodness logic.” JimmyO, JoBlo The Continuity ” ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’ is being promoted as the true sequel to the original film, which is amusing given Tobe Hooper’s own ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2’ already could make that claim, and the third and fourth films also kinda/sorta could be seen as sequels to the original – with each installment doing what this new film does, and ignoring any other previous sequels. But OK, let’s wipe the slate clean and consider this the latest in a line of seemingly never-ending ‘Chainsaw Massacre’ alternate realities at this point, like something out of Marvel Comics. And certainly, if you’re a fan of the original ‘Chainsaw,’ it is pretty cool to see footage from that film in the opening credits and to get a look at what happened right afterwards for the first time.” Eric Goldman, IGN The Final Word “I’m not 100% certain the ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’ creators intended this moral dissonance (they’d have probably pushed the ‘Frankenstein’ angle more,) but it is a welcome distraction from the rote horror film that plays out.
